A 360-degree video is captured from all angles, placing you inside the scene and allowing you to look around, similar to a virtual reality (VR) experience. It can be viewed using a VR headset, on a mobile device, or via laptops & desktop computers. The fixed point of view is what sets it apart from VR. In a VR experience, you can move around a space as if you were there, however with 360 video production, you only view what the camera can see, giving you three degrees of freedom (3DOF) (6DOF). Like 2D videos, 360 videos can be completely CGI, or they can be filmed.
